Cool Windows XP Pro will not hibernate - "System Hibernation Failed" - 08-27-2007, 02:22 PM

I am unable to put a Windows XP Pro system into hibernation after loading the Blackberry Desktop Manager and connecting the BB Device. I am receiving the error:

"System Hibernation Failed: The device driver 'RIM Virtual Serial Port (COM4)' device is preventing the machine from entering hibernation. Please close all applications and try again. If the problem persists, you may need to update this driver."

I have the latest and greatest version of the Desktop Manager installed. I can disable COM4, but that defeats the purpose. I need to be able to have the handheld and the BB communicate/synch and also have the functionality of XP hibernation. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I use hibernate all the time and have that all installed as well. Are you using the latest version of Desktop Manager?

Yeah, the first thing that I did was go out and grab the latest and greatest from the BB web site. It worked for awhile and then started acting up again. PC is a Dell 610 laptop, but I do not think that matters. The OS is XP Pro SP2. Props on your Lost avatar, that is a my favorite show.
