Default BB Messenger between carriers? (Rogers & Bell) - 08-29-2007, 10:31 PM

I'm assuming BB Messenger is supposed to work between carriers is it not? I am using an 8830 on Bell and cannot invite/talk to anyone on Rogers via BB Messenger. My contact requests never seem to complete successfully.

Has anyone had an issue like this before? I'm not sure if there is a setting I need to change or if maybe my Bell data plan is not configured to allow this?

Any help would be appreciated. I'm loving my 8830 for everything else except this one annoying issue!

Thanks

BBMessenger should work fine between carriers. It's just based on PIN.

Are you on a BES?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Yes, it should work. I have a contact on AT&T, Verizon, and one on a carrier in Bermuda.
