Question I see no option to send my "Internet Service Book"

Please Login to Remove!

what am I missing here?

When I go log into the BWC site on NEXTEL... under "Profile", there is a "Send Service Book" button. But not a "Internet Service Book" option or button.

What am I missing? I'm running 4.0 on my bb 7520. ???

Default So I guess...

... it doesn't work to get the new HTML browser that way. I've tried it.

And if you read my other post, I can't get the Application Downloader Wizzard to work from the Desktop Manager in order to INSTALL the latest 4.0 software.

UGH!!!!!

I didn't read your other post, or if I did, I didn't put two and two together.
Did you try registering again on the network through the BB options?
I read that some people are getting the new browser OTA, so perhaps re-register to the network, and re-boot the device.

Default did the reboot

... if by reboot you mean turn it off, remove the battery, wait for a minute, put back in, start it back up. That doesn't work even after I do a "register now" from the options.

I'd really like the new HTML browser -- but until my f*cking Desktop Manager stops dying on me every time I try to do an update, I'm SOL it appears.

Sorry, I thought that would do the trick.
How are you hooked up to the computer? Direct USB or through a hub, or with a usb-serial converter?
I had issues similar to that when I tried to reload on my 6750, and had to manually power on the blackberry through the process.
Eventually, I just found another laptop to use for software installs.
Best of luck...wish I could have helped.

Default Direct

It's a USB port direct into my PC... clearly the connection becomes "disconnected" at some point and the application loader dies.

I may have to find another PC I guess. I looked at other threads but I can't find anything similar to my situation.

Thanks for trying though

Yeah, it is peculiar...
what about if you download the latest Desktop and Handheld software...
Uninstall the desktop software you're running.
Reboot the computer.
Install the latest Desktop.
Reboot computer.
Upload latest handheld.
maybe?

Maybe... I'm using the CD that came with the BB7520.

Where can I get the "latest" Desktop Manager from? If I can find this then I can try that tomorrow.

BlackBerry.com

Also, if you are running Windows XP, try disabling the Power Management for the USB Root Hubs in your Device Manager.

OK. Let the Nextel Rep help you out!

One, I have the same thing going on with my Desktop Manager.
Only does it if I frequenly connect and then disconnect the BB.
If you do have the Blackberry connected and the Desktop Manager says disconnected then go into your Hardware Device manager in XP and scan for new hardware and it will pick your Blackberry back up and have you enter your password to sync your information.

On to the original problem. I have seen this happen with some of your phones here.
If you have registered your Blackberry and you only have the Service book then you must call Nextel to make sure they have the correct options setup on your account.
Once that is done and you reset your device and re-register you will have the new Internet Browser or you will need to resend it front the new Internet Service Book link in your Webclient.
