Default Attachments, other issues after upgrading 7750

Please Login to Remove!

Well I just upgraded my boss's Verizon 7750 to 4.0 handheld software. I had told him it would take about an hour but it took much longer. What's worse was after taking over 1.5 hours to install the upgrade and restore the back-up it then proceded to do an OTA Enterprise Activation. Normally I do an activation with the handheld connected to the server which is much faster, but I couldn't figure out how to stop it from doing it OTA. Even after rebooting it started doing it OTA again so I just let it go.

After the upgrade I started to get the hourglass effect a lot. I know the 7750s are prone to this especially if the memory is low. I deleted the Brickbreaker game to free up memory but that didn't seem to help a lot.

The main reason I upgraded to 4.0 was that he supposedly couldn't view attachments with 3.7. I never really checked this out. We are on BES 4.0. Well I sent him 3 test e-mails, one with a Word file, one with an Excel file, and one with a jpg image. I was able to open up the attachments in each e-mail. However when I went to show my boss this and tried to open the attachments again it would not work. It's almost like it let me open the attachment once but no more. Anyone seen this behavior?

Randy

For our 7750's to improve performance, funny enough, we changed the Theme from the default of Large icons to the small icons, which seemed to do the trick.

The other things we also did was turn off content protection and content compression.

Excuse my ignorance but how do you change from large to small icons?

I got an e-mail from my boss this weekend saying the hourglass would stay up for 5 minutes sometimes. Not good.
