Okay here's an issue>
I have the new 8830 on MTS (bell mobility affiliate), I had a rogers 7290. When installing and syncing my unit I used the swap devices and when that happenned my blackberry messenger stopped working. I was able to go into it, receive request and send requests but it just went in to pending status and never did anything past that. I got fed up after trying everything to bring it back to life. Then I uninstalled it. When I went to reinstall it, I get the error of my carrier doesnt support..... Ive tried to use the service pack 2 for desktop 4.2 and that didnt help. I cannot go and redownload my os for the device to pick it out. HELP if you can please

I have followed those steps and they do not have the software for the handheld to download for some strange reason.

What OS version do you have on your 8830?

Not sure I understand your issue properly... Are you trying to get messenger back on the 8830?

I too had issues with messenger (see recent post here) and deleted it. to get it back I had to download the BB software for the phone and reinstall it.
