bbf doesn't have a rule against.

Some of us just have a low tolerance for it.

Unhappy The At&t Os Release - 08-05-2008, 01:08 PM

I spoke 2 at&t workers and people from the blackberry department n i asked if they know the release date of the 0s 4.5 , n dey had no idea what i was talking about, n told me that ther is no such thing for at&t... n they told me that no matter what, the at&t curves will never get video recording.. so idk whats true or not..If ther is a new os release, when will it be released???

You can install OS 4.5 to your 8310 today. Check the sticky threads in the 8300 forum. ATT hasn't released it but other carriers have and it works on ALL devices.

You won't see a final version until they start with a new version like 5.0.

Your 4.5.0.69 version hasn't even been released by any carrier yet and is working quite well. What else do you need?

So the date is now tue sept 23 what's the news on a 8800 upgrade? I'd really like to find info on how to purchase blackberry software; is there any other way to go about the upgrade other than an install directly online - a cd perhaps?

Or you could just check out the stickies in the 8800 forum and download it for free from there.

Did AT&T actually release their version of 4.5.x?

No, ATT has not. When they do, there won't be any difference in the releases currently available, other than not removing the vendor.xml file in the process. AT&T won't get a different version than other carriers have released or will release as well.

If I do the 4.5 upgrade it's mainly for the HTML email viewing. I have a simple question for JSanders: will this let me view some email stuff that I cannot view using the OS I have? Does it make all email look different or just some pieces? I'm not real smart on HTML sorry.
