Does anyone think @pple would permit that? It's a pretty closed system.

This would be welcome news. We get SO many questions from MAC users about using DM....

You have no idea what you are talking about.

This would make my life about 15 times easier.....but who knows when this could materialize...

So, a friend of the TMo Rep said a BB rep was in the TMo store and said they were working on it. It would be great news but that's pretty unreliable info.

This would be so nice. Mac DM + TimeMachine would guarantee my BB data is backed up.

lol @ theBorg

I would LOVE to see DM for Mac users. In a perfect world....

This was a joke... right?

The iphone is a closed system, the Apple OS is NOT a closed system. You can run Windows on a MAC.

... And to you, this is what it means to be an "open" system?

the MAC computer part is Hardware, just like the PC part is just hardware. The OS is really immaterial... you can RUN Linux/Unix on a PC too, that doesnt make it any more open than the MAC OS. It just means the hardware is compatible with the software. Linux would be an open OS, Windows, Mac OS are both closed OS.

PPCMD 03-02-2008 11:34 AM

I didn't realize you could run windows and OS X apps on Linux that would be great, so is it really possible to do that?
