Does anyone think @pple would permit that? It's a pretty closed system.

This would be welcome news. We get SO many questions from MAC users about using DM....

So, a friend of the TMo Rep said a BB rep was in the TMo store and said they were working on it. It would be great news but that's pretty unreliable info.

The iphone is a closed system, the Apple OS is NOT a closed system. You can run Windows on a MAC.

... And to you, this is what it means to be an "open" system?

the MAC computer part is Hardware, just like the PC part is just hardware. The OS is really immaterial... you can RUN Linux/Unix on a PC too, that doesnt make it any more open than the MAC OS. It just means the hardware is compatible with the software. Linux would be an open OS, Windows, Mac OS are both closed OS.

I didn't realize you could run windows and OS X apps on Linux that would be great, so is it really possible to do that?
