Its does say 8830 but if you look at the specs its a typo. BGR is stating its a typo.

Can someone tell me the difference between this phone and a "world edition" phone? Thanks.

The World Edition phone (8830) is a dual CDMA/GSM phone. It has a SIM card in it, and will work outside of North American on the 900/1800 GSM frequencies.

The 8330 Curve is CDMA only and will not work on GSM outside of North American.
