Just got a call from my Sprint/Nextel Rep and the 8350i will be delayed two weeks with a new release date of 12/15.

Grrrr...... I just got this message as well. I am so sick of this 7100i. It doesn't work half the time. Nextel really should be getting the BlackBerry's out because I have a feeling they are losing customers by the day. If my entire family weren't addicted to the walkies I'd switch to Sprint for sure.

Cool concept, but I hate the stupid little antenna, you think they could have done away with it by now...

I jumped. I had the 7100i and I was tied of not having the latest in technology while all the other cell companies are coming out with new phones and PDA's. Went to AT&T and love it. Sacarficed the PTT for service everywhere.

CS said this afternoon that it's now mid January before it's sold through stores or CS to the "general public."
I guess were not good enough to have it. Seems funny that if the "general public" is willing to pay the price, that they wouldn't sell it to us.
I hope they do this and get stuck with thousands of them when we move on to bigger and better things.

I just called CS and they told me that I can order the phone on Monday. They did not give a ship date and I did not ask since I believe that they will not ship till the 15th.

I guess I will see on Monday what happens when I call back.

I hope it's safe to start counting the days! My 7100i has learned a new trick today. While talking today I lost my calls 3 times and when I looked at the screen it says "Turn radio On" NICE!

I'm started doing that last week. I replaced the battery and haven't had the problem since. But still can't wait for the curve to come out.

No way am I replacing the battery on a phone I only intend to use for another week! My 8350i is pre-ordered and I can't wait!

How did you re-order? is Sprint taking pre orders?

TELUS Mobility in Canada told me that the phone now won't be released up here until January.

Went into a Sprint store while Christmas shopping today to buy a case for my daughter's LG Rumor and was with my aunt talking about my new BlackBerry 8350i. The lady behind the counter overheard me telling her that it's coming out on the 15th and quickly corrected me and said that wasn't true that it's coming out on the 18'th of January. She did say that she heard that select markets or stores would be able to get it on the 15th though...

I emailed vazcom to ask and got this reply... "Unless they decide tomorrow that they'll be pushing it back phones will be shipped out Monday. I will update my pre order customers tomorrow afternoon. They normally will tell is a week or 2 in advance if they were pushing it back and not last minute. As far as pre order customers Monday is a go."

Crossing my fingers that he is right. I can't take another month of my 7100i turning off mid conversation...

Sprint told me yesterday, "Mid-January".

Phone store told me they ship monday. Yeah!

Spoke with my Sprint re-seller on Wednesday and was told the following:

The release date is December 15th for direct ship and January 11th for instore purchase.

Not holding my breath. Coming from the same shop that told me it would be out in October. I laughed at him then and told him I'd fall over if it was out by the end of 08. If I'm holding one before 09 I'll be very surprised.

Me too! They made it sound like they ship overnight because I'd get it Tuesday! YEAH!

Called nextel at midnight. She said I could order it but they don't have any idea on a ship date yet. Also said after discounts it was $199.99 which is different than the $149.99 listed before. This was the first time they would even take my order but I held off for now. Waiting on more details.

Wow! Sprint made it sound like it wouldn't be on their site until January! It is kinda nice to see it there.. It's kinda funny that the 7100i is $50 more!

It looks like a 1 GB memory card is included for the camera!

I was at the store at 830 this morning to order mine. I cant wait, hope it comes in tomorrow.

Was able to order the 8350i online and they told me i will receive my phone in about 2-4 business days. YEAH YEAH YEAH. The price of the phone is 249.99 with the instant savings and it will be 149.99 after 100.00 mail in rebate.

my sales rep emailed me this morning of 8350i availability... I emailed back with order for 10 upgrades . . . 15 minutes later, Rep emails back with order confirmation . . . awaiting next day delivery tracking number . . .

Did anyone preorder with Vazcom? if so did you get any kind of comfirmation of your 8350I being shipped today?

I ordered from Vazcom and haven't got an email confirming shipment yet. I am pretty confident that they shipped because of the email I got yesterday though. I almost wonder if they shipped early because my neighbors told me that the UPS man came to my door while I was at work. He didn't leave a package though. I wonder if we have to sign for the phone? I've been racking my brain trying to remember if I ordered anything else and there was only one other thing that was a gift for my husband but they said it would ship USPS so unless they switched to UPS for some reason which is possible it's the only thing it could be......

It's gonna be so nice to get rid of the 7100i!

Just ordered 5 more 8350i's from rep on top of 10 earlier ordered. . . rep advises that the 5 has been ordered but Fulfillment center returned with back-order notification . . .

Bummer! Hope they get them quick!

Either way I will have to wait until tomorrow because I doubt the UPS man will come back. She said he was here around 11:00 AM so I'll be waiting for him tomorrow. He does seem to come through my neighborhood around the same time every day. Here is the message I got yesterday. I wish I'd get a tracking number!

I am finding the trackball on the 8350 to be the same as I remembered it at the prelaunch slightly depressed. I will take some getting used to.

Lucky You! How did you get it so quick? It looks pretty cool! I am ready to get mine. Let us know how long you have to charge it and how easy it is to transfer contacts. Can you use you SIM card?? OK, I'll stop now..

I actually got mine today from UPS, to be honest i don't know how my local Nextel store can't get it yet. I must have ordered it, it came in my company name. I got it up and running it's taking me a while to get used to the track ball in the middle, i keep thumbing the sides of it. It took me a while to get it connected but the gut from nextel was pretty good ! i'll report back with how the battery life does tomorrow!

Go find an Indirect Sprint/Nextel dealer. We were able to order units for our customers on Thursday and they all arrived today check BlackBerry Cool for pics. There where well over 7,000 units in the stock for order as of 7 pm EST. I sure they selling like hotcakes but you should be able to get your hands on one. For store launch you have to wait till Jan. 11th

Got mine on order, should have it soon.
