That would be the hope yes. It was pushed back to Aug 4 for Tmo Germany, might be pushed back here as well.

there is a new cell entering the market to compete against the bb, its the Velocity Mobile 103, which is similar to the htc diamond. And the Velocity Mobile 111 which will compete against the BB Bold/Curve. It will run on WM 6.1 Pro.

Um, yay? There are literally dozens of competing smart phones out there. BB still holds the number 1 spot in the US, and Worldwide.

Sorry Ray, but your credibility regarding the July 25th release date just took a pretty steep dive with your announcement that this cheap looking blackjack clone is any serious competition to RIM.

Can you elaborate on your sources perhaps?

I hope those models are bigger than actual size, or that's one huge phone.

Whoop!

The phone is similar in size to the 8800 series, but it is tapered on the sides to give it a more comfortable feel in hands

Rogers Blackberry Bold Canadian Release Date « Cell Canada

We just received an update on the Rogers release date for the Blackberry Bold in Canada. As we discussed in our earlier post on the Bold, Apple Iphone Vs. Blackberry Bold, the Bold is expected to be a strong competitor in the smartphone space, especially for customers with a need for heavy email and BES integration.

For all of you waiting for the Bold, our moles inside Rogers have told us that it will launch in Canada on August 6th. I’m sure we will see marketing and promotion in advance of the 6th.

For you Blackberry fans, rest your thumbs…

The Bold's release date has been postponed until Aug. It will not be coming on July 25. I called them today and they said they would have to release pricing atleast 2 weeks prior to the products release. Sorry to burst your bubble everybody. It hurts me as much as it hurts all of you too.

Who did you call? Some guy at a Rogers Plus or Wireless Wave?

A lot of Rogers phones have, in the past, been released with little or no discussion of pricing prior to them being available for order.

I'm not going to comment on the validity of your statements, but you have to realise that a product can be launched but not be available in retail channels the day of launch. A launch often means that a SKU is entered into the system whereby dealerships can order the phones to have them in stock.

This sort of rampant speculation really has to stop.

All I am saying is that anything can happen and its out of our hands, all we can do is play with our older BB's until the Bold is here.

So if I get a Bold from a Rogers customer in Canada, will it just need to be unlocked to work on AT&T, or do they use different frequencies? Will the 3G work as well?

it would be nice if they can start leaking the 3yr contract price. Rogers is blowing away the pearl $0.00 on a 3yr and Curve $149.00 on a 3 yr. I guess they are trying to clear up older stock before the Jesus "BOLD" arrives
