I heard from our rep yesterday that it should be OCT 16th.

ok, this to me is funny.......

i just called AT&T CS and got transfered to sales...i asked when i would be able to walk into a store and buy the Bold...after 3 min on hold he came back and said that he just googled "att bold" and it said it should be in stores on the 2nd of october...lolso i guess google knows when it will be sold before the Cs reps do.....lol

keep in mind CS doesnt receive most info pertaining to what the retail locations get and when

So, the Storm is going to be out before the Bold, eh? Maybe not, of course, but that would be mighty crazy if it happened, considering RIM announced the Bold at WES, and just a day or so later BGR broke the story about the Storm.

I got to actually HOLD the BOLD at WES and just can't believe were are now here in the 3rd quarter and no phone yet in the States!!

Yeah, the neverending story - We can all start our "Days of our Bold's" soap opera pretty soon. Then we can spin that off to "The Bold and the Restless" soap opera.....

Our rep said that the 3G iPhone has saturated their 3G network and the new Bold will only add to the problem...hence the dealyed release.

And people heard in Houston that FEMA had saturated the AT&T network there.
So it goes. No one really knows.

So who is getting on line for the 3rd?

The Storm may be out before the Bold. Everybody knows the Verizon EVDO network is superior to the newer ATT 3g network. That's a proven fact. So if the ATT network is not currently capable of accomdating a rush of Bolds (in addition to the rush of iPhones already climbing) I think they've got a real business problem on their hands that could possibly put ATT in financial trouble withing a year. I know I have interest in both phones, and the Storm may win out if it's out first and shows to be glitchfree.
Yeah, they took $150 deposit from one poster here and told them face to fact they'd have 60 units on the 2nd(all sold) and another 50 units on Friday (mostly sold). They guaranteed them the phones would be ready for delivery on time. There were 3-4 other peeps in the store putting down their money then too.

You would think that the MLB playoffs ( sponsored by BlackBerry ) would be a prefect opportunity to advertise the Bold in the USA. So far, two commercials, no Bold. Guess the Curve and Pearl need more exposure

I just registered to this forum. Found it while trying to get out info on the release date for the Bold. After browsing around the different topics for the last hour, I'm more confused & frustrated than before.

I have not heard of the Javelin or Storm previously. It seems like a lot of the people on here who seem to know what they are talking about are waiting for those models to come out. I'd appreciate some advice from people that know what the F is going on.

Bold = AT&T 3G
Javelin = T-Mobile No 3G, EDGE only
Storm = Verizon, Touch Screen

I am holding you personally accountable. I walked all the to the AT&T store and asked to purchase a bold. The said they DIDN'T have one. I told them to check in the back because xxDruMMer Boyxx said 10/3. I can't beleive this.

The soap opera continues - LOL -

This reminded me of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back where they go door to door and beat the people who were talking bad about their movie in an online forum. Most of them were 13 year old kids...sounds about right for the OP.

Let's hope for christmas! If it comes out before, it will be good news.
