Sounds like a rumor. They offer no source.

Well to me, the only thing that sounded like a rumor was the price, which they clearly said was a rumor. I guess cuz its not boyGenius saying it, it won't be credited. But he is full of it too sometimes since he has all his "trusted sources", yet its still put up in blackberry news. Oh well, I though I had gotten somewhere with it sorry.

Usually if you are going to say it will be this date you quote a source. Thats all I am saying.

Your right, I understand you, but then again, for example, Boy genius doesn't get his "sources" till like 4 in the morning or at least publishes them (I've watched this) so simply just saying, maybe he doesn't even know yet, or gizmodo, or mister Crackberry.com, which probably sleeps too. And this Texas based press release website maybe does know. The point is I see that many would need a source, its not about winning an argument here. I was just hoping and still am that this doesn't need anymore proof and it'll just come out on Friday.

2 the BOLD commercial aired last week

What has ATT officially said? Nothing that I am aware of. All of this is pure rumor. No sense getting upset over rumor.

As for the Oct 20th thing, well Oct 26 is a Sunday. How many times do new devices launch on a Sunday, and in a retail store no less?

Best Buy released the iPhone 3G on a Sunday so it wouldn't be the 1st time.

Sure they did, but the official release by ATT was in July and not on Sunday. I can't see ATT releasing the BOLD at Best Buy and not the corporate stores.

I love rumors on this forum (honestly). We know the bold is sitting on ATT store shelves all over the USA, they're taking deposits up the yazoo. Now what could be holding up the release? It couldn't be that the ATT 3g network is having problems could it? I didn't think so. Maybe ATT is just superstitious about the perfect date.

In all my research with BlackBerryNews I have only been able to find one official statement from AT&T. It was from a VP made in July and simply said. "I promise it will be out by November". So far it is accurate.

Interesting comments by Kevin. My Rogers unlocked Bold... with an AT&T sim.. runs like a top on AT&T in Austin. Yet when I took it back for a visit to Toronto, the data was a total pig there. Not saying Kevin didn't experience what he did. Just interesting that my experiences are 180 degrees out of phase with his. Now Austin has always had better 3G coverage than NYC. I've seen that for the last 2 years with other 3G phones on AT&T. And Austin was one of the first locations to get the 3G upgraded equipment this year. So maybe that has more to do with it than the OS of the Bold.

The AT&T corp stores may be a week or 2 ahead of Best Buy with the release. We're not saying BB is going to get it 1st. Someone posted on BGR that the MSRP is $679.99 which is crazy for the BOLD

I'm one that doesn't really care when it releases because I might get the Javelin seeing Tmobile just came to Charlotte, but this release is kinda like the Curve (8310). Not being delayed but there were so many different dates and then some stores received them and some didn't. At least that's how I remember it.
