About a month ago, a t-mobile employee told me that a new update was coming that in addition to other things, we would also be able to watch you tube videos on the phone. He said the update would be available by Oct. 1st. But, as of now, I see no new updates on the t-mobile site.

Has anyone heard about this new update?

They're referring to handheld OS 4.5.
T-Mobile US hasn't released it yet, but you can use another carrier's OS if you want.
