Yes, to be a true 3GSM
device it must be able to pass voice and data simultaneously, but in the CDMA realm, the ratified 3G standard is 1X EV-DO, thus making the devices mentioned above "3G".
Further, the 8707, 9500 and 9530 (when in UMTS mode) can all pass voice and data simultaneously in addition to the 9000.
