Default Any New Bb Coming To At&t - 06-08-2009, 08:51 AM

I can upgrade on the 22nd. of this month and I am looking at the 8900 and the bold. Before I jump on one of these, is there a new phone coming to AT&T this year that would be worth waiting for ?

What about the Onyx? I thought it was supposed to drop late this summer on AT&T?

No confirmed dates around for an unconfirmed product, but logically you would have to assume that the aim with that one is to get it in the shops before the holiday spending like the bold and 8900 were last year.

Boy you are demanding lol.. AT&T got the Bold, and 8900 very recently

Imagine if you had a CDMA carrier lol

Nothing has been confirmed but it's rumored the Onyx will go to the AT&T
(As if they don't get enough new BB's lol)

Magnum, the touch screen Bold... Their use a be rumored release date, but since it kind of feel off the face of the earth who know.. Rumor was Q4 of this year beginning of next year.

There are far more returns and similar occurrences with the Bold than the Javelin. Of course, we haven't carried the Javelin for very long, but everyone here knows the history of the Bold.

Personally, I'd get the Javelin. If you do get the Bold, don't get it for the 3G speed, per se. Get it for the fact that the 3G allows simultaneous data and voice.

I seem to remember one of the leaks listed multiple types of onyx or onyx-like devices and it seems likely that there will be one each for at&t and t-mobile when they come out.

Ignoring the touchscreen part, which should be quite nice since it won't be required for data entry and will just speed general useage like navigation, its going to be interesting to see the basic look of that device, you would expect the basic casing to be like the tour or improved from that e.g. including the trackpad of the gemini.

As far as it disappearing from the blogs, that probably means that its not due for at least a few months into 2010 and may even have a different codename too due to earlier leaks. One thing you would also expect is that storm 2 will show up well before it does so that any new ideas for touchscreen tech can go into the device that needs them most and then the magnum can benefit from them later.
