Default T-Mobile hacked? - 06-08-2009, 05:44 PM

FYI:

"T-mobile customers are awakening this morning to reports that
hacker/extortionists have victimized the cellular carrier through
a massive network breach resulting in the theft of untold amounts of
corporate and customer data, which they're threatening to sell to
the highest bidder."

Google will find the story for you.

NOTE: T-Mobile does NOT confirm this.... yet...

I'm not worried about the competitors getting hold of the data. But the personal data includes SS numbers for the credit checks and enough other information that they could just screw a handful of the customers and make out like bandits.

I hope this is not true.

Glad I'm not on T-Mobile right now! But wonder how many people just cancelled their contract from this.

T-Mobile was hacked in 2004. This is an interesting story about how the hacker was caught.
