Default Chances of a Hi-Res Pearl? - 08-05-2009, 06:31 PM

I was looking at the Tour specs with the new 480x360 Hi-Res screen and I was wondering if RIM may bring that technology to the Pear giving it a 360x390 resolution screen in the next version.

I've had my 8100 (AT&T) for a few years and just haven't seen a compelling reason to upgrade to the newer Pearl.

A Hi-Res screen, GPS and 3G (or whatever is fastest) would be features that would get me to upgrade.

You do have to assume they will release a higher end pearl at some point since the last update to that range was the flip, but no rumors have leaked about one yet.

If you are bored you could always invent a codename and start your own rumour and see how long it takes for the blogs to pick up on it.

I like that, I could put my technical illustration skills to some use and even do some mock ups.
