UMA is the only way I can get reception at my girlfriend's parents' house, especially in their basement. VERY useful feature for me.

yes the 9700 will have 3G on t-mobile.

Will the 9700 be able to get those new faster 3G speeds (HSPA+) they just rolled out in the Philadelphia market?

Are the different speeds of 3G software or hardware upgrades?

No, I dont believe it can read HSPDA speeds.
