Default Storm 2 at Vzn next week?

Please Login to Remove!

Another forum has people getting pretty good info that the phone will be available online on the 21st with Vzn and in stores about a week later or maybe sooner than that (hard to decipher the threads right now). FCC documents approving it are available as of Friday too. Cool. I will try one out but I'm still hot on my 8900.

We can only speculate.

Of course with all this hype, can the device really live up to it?

I have been running OS 5.0.0.230 on my Verizon Storm 9530 for a couple weeks now. The data coverage indicator has been showing 3G for the entire time. That is UNTIL THIS MORNING! It is showing 1XEV. I think that points to Verizon adding some new stuff into their backend to handle OS 5.0. Maybe this is a good sign for the Storm2 launch AND an OS upgrade for any other devices that will support it?

I'm not sure what the release date is, but there is one on display at a best buy in Asheville NC. I will post pics Monday. The tag under the phone says coming soon. its not powered up so I couldn't play with it.

I bet to differ after using this for almost a week I will most likely be switching for a Tour fairly soon. I really feel like activating my old 8330 and throwing the Storm2 in a draw.. I really don't gain anything from the Storm2.

Besides I think it would be a bit hard to call me old school when the Storm/Storm2 are the only 2 Touch Screen BlackBerries out of the many models they now offer.
