I just got off the phone with our corporate account rep @ ATT... she said they are expecting a release/launch of the 9700 this coming Wed. They were just going into a "meeting" to discuss some details and she said she would call me after to update... Might have one in hand by this weekend!

I hope AT&T will get more 3G Blackberries. My wife is wanting a new BB, it's between the 9700 and the pearl flip.

Aaaand, we're pushed back a bit. Rep called back this afternoon and stated we're looking more like the week of the 16th now. I guess it wouldn't be a blackberry release without this kind of up and down excitement, huh?

In any case, I too can't wait to get my paws on one of these!

You will know it is available when it hits the stores. Which likely will be in November. Unless it isn't!

Interestingly enough Mobile City Online has the ETA on a pre-order 9700 as Nov 11th. On the weekend they had it at Nov 4th.

I think you may be safe with the latter part of November. My AT&T Gov't rep stopped by with his 9700 last Thursday and said about 2 weeks or so. The track pad is cool. The 9700 is the size of the Tour. Back cover is great. Lens and Flash are on left and right of back.

My neighbor works for a guy who's wife works for an AT&T exec. that married to someone at RIM and they said, rats I forgot what they said. This is way too funny, release what month or year?

Looks like Nov 22, i received the text below in an email from AT&T this morning.

"The BlackBerry® BoldTM 9700 will be nationally available to all customers on November 22nd, 2009. Business customers may place orders today through AT&T Premier Online Store."

Technically the 16th was correct.
