Guess I got the wrong thing then cause the only 4.1 I saw was the Blackberry Desktop Manager. I tried the link above again but its broken now.

go to the dowload page and select Handheld software for 7520 then dowload the 4.1 software

So far so good, I'm up and running on 4.1. Still playing around with it but it definately seems more polished.

Lightbulb V4.1 for Nextel 7520
Thanks. I just competed the upgrade and everything looks to be going smoothly. I will continue testing and report back.

* I like the way the websites load now by telling you how much data is loaded and how much you got to go.

* New calculator looks nice (I didn't have the last upgrade so I had the oldshool calc)

* lots of new things going on in the Options section

* You can actually download themes now!!!...and they work (only 1 available that I have seen)

* Custom ringtones per contact if you'd like.

I will keep this list updated as I find new and exciting things.

Sorry for my stupidity however: I downloaded adn installed the software but now I cannot connect to the BES to sync address book and get email. What did I forget?

ok... 3 things i noticed that dont' seem to be working right

1) my images icon is now a black and white line drawing, the rest of my icons are fine. not a big deal but its bothering me

2) the blackberry browser can not load the wap version of the blackberry forums anymore, but the wap broswerer still can so i guess that's not a big issue either

3) this one i care about because its what i was looking forward too. my bluetooth shows the headset, handsfree, desktop connection and wireless bypass, however the only service that my computer can see is the voice gateway

You need to resync after the upgrade.

Yeh I had to call my IT people and get a new password to do the enterprise activation.
They wanted to know why it quit working and I told them I had upgraded to 4.1. He has a Nextel BB as well and was thrilled to learn the upgrade was here.
