Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry7250/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

They will definitely release 4.1. Rumor has it this will happen any day now. Also, you can use sprint/telstra on your device if you want it now.

Latest from my sources is 4.1 for the 7250 should be out 1st week of April. It is possible sooner, but we'll have to wait and see.

Thank you for the update. i sure hope so. I have seen and posted in a thread about the Sprint version on VZW. I am just new to BB and even my company does not fully understand all the software and sync'ing relationships etc. and therefore did not want to venture down a road that I did not have good tech support on and decided to just wait for VZW's official release.

Thanks again,

The VZ OS update web page is not working at this time. Wonder if they are updating with the new software versions.

Not - It is back up and running with only 4.0

What's your point? 4.1 is available for some CDMA devices as well and has been. It is true that 4.1 is not available from all CDMA carriers, but *cough* the same is true of the GSM carriers as well *cough*..

I just emailed my business rep. I'll post when I hear back. The last I heard was sometime last month. Not sure what the hold up is, especially since other carriers have released.

OK so April 27th...

let's apply the Verizon Filter to that timeline...

1. April 27 + manditory unexplained month absense after initial proposed release date = May 27.

2. Add 6 days for "Compatibility testing" = May 31

3. Add another week for problems that arose during compatibility testing = June 7

4. Add 3 more days to "fine tune" the release = June 10

5. Add another 9 days because new products need to launch which yield said upgrade obsolete

Look for it on the Verizon site AROUND June 17 +/- 4 days or thereabouts.

I <3 verizon

Yeah, thank goodness I have the patience to wait for the upgrade, otherwise I'd have to deal with crappy GSM voice quality and dropped calls *cough* just to have 4.1 *cough*.

There is one major problem with OS 4.1. When you receive an entry in your phone log, they viewed on the same line or on top of one another. Not real convenient for reveiwing your phone log.

So have any of you tried this version (the link points to the version for Telstra) on a Verizon Blackberry? The click-through says it's only for Telstra in Australia, but the bbhub post talks about it working on any 7250. Has anyone had any issues using this version on Verizon?
