Great information. Being an ATTWS customer I wont' see this for awhile if at all, but even with its size I'd be curious to check it out.

I'm sure it's a matter of time before the 7100 starts showing up "unlocked" on eBay...

Don't t-mobile make people wait 6 months before they will unlock them?

In my experience, T-Mobile will unlock a 72xx Blackberry after about 60 days in good standing with a qualifying plan.

ATT/Cingular will see the 7100 adventually, it would be a terrible mistake if RIM didn't allow the device to be sold by the other carriers.

I was just referring to people buying the 7100 devices out right, unlocking them and selling the on eBay for example.

Unlocking them may be easier said than done, I have it on good authority that the people advertising unlocing services for blackberries are about to get a nasty surprise.

Funny that wouldn't supprise me. Would be a shame though as it's nice to have the option of purchasing a device not yet available for your carrier or from another carrier at a discount for that matter and being able to use it with your current provider.
