I was about to get the 8700g from CSL (Hong Kong) but noticed Vodafone's 8707v. I have to go with CSL (due to work) but wanted the 3G modem so started searching to see if CSL will get a 8707.

Anyone heard of the 8707g and release dates? There is an image and limited info on CSL1010 website (//1010.hkcsl.com/jsp/biz_handdev/biz_handdev_handsets_details.jsp?nodeid=19&model=1 065)

If the 8707g will be released soon then I will wait. Thanks for any help with this.

There is an error on the page, so I can't view. I haven't heard of an 8707 for carriers beyonf Vodafone and their partners, but I would imagine it will be a few months as Vodafone almost certainly has an exclusive.

For anyone interested, CSL will release the 8707g in July. Seems that Vodafone did not have a very long exclusive with the 8707v afterall (at least in HK).
