Someone reported on HowardForums that the 8703 will be released on October 28th. Nothing is confirmed, but I haven't see any posting on the FCC site, so August 28th may be very optimistic.

Verizon mentions that it will download the first 2kb of your email, then you can request the rest of it later. Why is that? Does anyone find this to be a problem compared to Cingular/T-Mob plans? Just wondering. Anxiously awaiting the 8703 on Verizon. I hope August is the true date, but awfully soon for news that just came out.

I'm anxiousely waiting also, i hope this date is true, otherwise it's either a 7250 for me, or waiting for a motorola KRZR

As to release date rumors and their likely validity:
We have roc a fella stating on HoFo that the date is Aug 28:
"Coming to verizon 8/28"

We have BoyGenius confirming roc's info:
"he is definitely right about the release date as confirmed to me by an independant source."

We have someone calling himself "luxurynick" on his very first post on HoFo stating the release date as Oct 28...but he stated this yesterday 8/16 and promised "sources and official pictures" tomorrow, which would have been 8/17.

So who to believe? We have 2 extremely credible sources with proven track records, vs one new source who has already missed the deadline he set for himself in posting those "official pictures." As for me, I'll stick with roc and BG...

everything I saw on there pointed to GSM (as noted by the 8705g). Nothing having to do with CDMA.

Don't think this is the one. If you read through the Test Report, you will see its for GSM and not CDMA.

I really wanna go Blackberry... other than form factor, any major differences beetween 7130e and this devices... I have my doubts about spending probably $500 plus on a year old device ... I can go instead W/ the 7130e or 7250evdo (which are waaaay cheaper... what u guys think? or wait?
