Unhappy Extented Life Battery for 8703e

Please Login to Remove!

I know, I know, It's to "new" of a bb for much in the way of extras. So it comes as no real suprise that there isnt an extended life battery for the 8703e at this time from either vzw or any of the after market suppliers & was wondering if the door for the 8700c (they are the only carrier that seems to offer the ex battery for the 8700c) will work with the 8703e. In other words, are the dimensions pretty much the same for all the 8700s? If that's the case, I don't care what color the door is for the longer life battery as long as it actually functions. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm curious how they get 100% more standby time on the T-Mobile version, but only about 25% more talk time than Verizon.

This is simply the reality of GSM-device vs CDMA-device battery consumption ...

W8RZ, just like InPocket linked, if you look at the two and see the comparison, you can probably use the 8700g's battery and maybe the door on the 8703e's and go from there. Though you may just want to hold on till Verizon will offer it. Rim hasn't even have the extended batteries or any other accessories (or for that matter, a link to the 8703e on their shopping site) to get it. If you want to take the risk and let us know if it works, then let us know, cuz im curious if it would, if it does, i'd buy one too! Just make sure you get the right door, i've read some people accidently bought other 8700' model extended batteries, and have ended up returning them because some are different (i.e. 8700c) and so fourth.
