Default AOL May Be Shutting Down BBHub

Please Login to Remove!

There are some very credible rumors floating around claming that AOL is going to shut down BBHub...

BBHub is one of the best BlackBerry resources out there and if the rumors are true I will be sad to see it go.

You guys seriously think BBHub is a good source of news?

If anything, it's one of the worst. It's full of bad information. I really enjoy some things, like their reviews of new Handango software, but when something is about to be released (i.e. the Cingular Pearl) they go into overdrive and post the dumbest things. The guy who posts on there primarily is also a horrible writer -- one of the worst in the "blogosphere", in my opinion. They also claim "exclusive" on ridiculous things. BlackBerryCool is a good, respectable blog for BlackBerry-related news... and on a lesser note, RIMarkable. I read BBHub for entertainment -- not news.

BBhub has some good software reviews.

BBhub seems to have the "FCC patients" down before anybody else.

AllBlackBerry has better 'what can I do with my blackberry' information than any other site.

BlackBerryCool has more insider stuff. From what I can tell.

Rimmarkable has a better site look.

If this is, in fact, true - it'll be a loss, definitely. Russ provides great insight into things and has a really good grasp on all things BlackBerry. And again if this is true, I'm pretty sure Russ isn't leaving the BB world anytime soon.

(And not to steal this thread [yes, I'm an ass, I guess], but I'm noticing some comments on BBCool, and want to let you folks know that we've got a contest going on right now asking our readers how they would improve our site. Three winning commenters will get a copy of Ascendo's DataVault.

Rather than start up a new thread I'll update you in this one. BBHub has confirmed it is to cease tomorrow:

BBHub ceases publication tomorrow - BBHub

I don't personally read it, I spend too much time here!!! I do read RIMarkable and have started reading BBCool since jibi became involved in it. But for those who do read it you now have it from the horses mouth!

It's gone. Sad to see because it was a good source of rumors, etc. These forums are probably the best source for BB news now though. I love the layout...so easy to get answers.
