| Yeah, I'm running that right now. The problem is that it doesn't work exactly like the BB default LED notification scheme. Specifically, under BB Alerts, the LED alerts clear as soon as the device is brought out of idle (i.e. any button is pressed, it is holstered or unholstered, etc.), not when the matter is attended to like the default BB LED indicator does (i.e. email is "read", voicemail notification is "cleared", missed call notification is "cleared", etc.).
Relatedly, for BES users, it doesn't clear the LED if the email is "read" (and/or deleted) in Outlook (like the default BB LED scheme does). The consequence, of course, is that if I'm in the office all day and don't use the BB, the LED indicator never clears (unless and until I bring the device out of idle) from the first email of the day.
It would be a perfect alternative if it operated in the same manner as the default BB LED indicator, but it doesn't do that -- yet (I've planted that seed with the designer; we'll see what comes of it.).
More importantantly, for this thread anyway, is that it seems to me that this ought to be a fairly straightforward feature of the BB software itself.
Anyway, here's to dreaming....
