OK, I'm a newbie and I did a forum search but just want to confirm, the 8130 is aka Pearl 2 (aka Komet)? thanks.

Basically yes. I would rather wait for the 8310 (second gen curve) It will have the camera with GPS!!!Still with full QWERTY keys!

I don't know if its the Pearl 2 or just the first gen Pearl for CDMA. There has been some confusion on that part.

With a model number of 8130 I would assume 2nd gen Pearl.

If it was first gen it would most likely be something like 8103e.
