Default BB 8820 from AT&T today/tomorrow?

Please Login to Remove!

Did anyone hear anything yet?

A while ago BGR reported a potential Aug 13/14 release... I can still see 8800s in the close-by AT&T store here and on the web, so it doesn't look like it is coming in the next day or so. But I might be wrong.

Anyone?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8300/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

I have been told by several of the AT&T reps in my area that it will not be released until the end of August. So I doubt it will be out this week. We can only hope it will be.

He posts what he hears. The problem is, release dates are notoriously fluid. You should never take one as gospel no matter who you get it from, officialy or unofficaly.

Thanks. I'm familiar with the rule that if it did not come from the carrier in the form of a press-release (or similar) then it is not final.

I just hope we'll get to see it before the end of the month, just got a new 8800 and I'm still within the 30 day return/exchange... (so I can only wait and hope...)

I would return it if it gets to 30 days as you know its likely on its way.

Thanks test54. I figured I will use in until a week before the 30days are over (Sep 9th), get used to the OS etc. (I'm a PalmOS and WM5 convert), and then if 8820 is available (exchange) if not then I will do the Switch-Device-Wizard (and copy content from %TEMP%), return and wait for the 8820.

As long as I don't lose/break it (knock on wood) I should be fine, no?
