Default Pearl 2: Any New/Updated Information??

Please Login to Remove!

I have a first-generation Pearl acquired in November 2007 . . . And it really needs to be replaced!

I had a chat with my local (Northern Virginia) AT&T store BlackBerry guru and he seems to think the Pearl 2 will be available in two weeks - the first week of September.

I'm leaving the country soon, and a replacement phone is of critical import. I want the new phone before leaving these shores.

I see countless threads and posts with conjecture ranging the spectrum. At the moment, I don't care for a list of what new features are anticipated . . . I care only when a Pearl 2 will be publicly available for purchase at my local AT&T store.

If I'm expected to wait months for a replacement, then I will start shopping other brands (all other BB are terribly large for me) - if Pearl 2 is around the corner, I'll wait.

Surely the collective wisdom of this forum can unearth a reliable delivery date.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I don't think anyone knows for sure of the date until it is actually announced, and a solid release date is given by the carrier.

Surely if anyone had a release date then it would be posted.
