Angry So much for TBG's 8820 "Soft Launch" announcement - 09-10-2007, 06:19 PM

In response to The Boy Genius announcement (here: BlackBerry 8820 on AT&T: Soft launch today? | The Boy Genius Report) I went to 2 at&t stores in NYC today and talked to the store managers (34th st and 86th st) and got the same answer:
"We might get the 8820 around the end of the month or most likely not before next month..."

They both said they get asked about the 8820 frequently and sorry that they don't have a more concrete date to share.

So much for The Boy Genius's "soft launch" announcement...

TBG, you might want to re-consider your sources as not-so-reliable.

If BG owned AT&T he might be able to be 100% certain of what he posts. Companies change their minds all the time. If you cant deal with some uncertinity then wait for the official press release.

I can deal with the uncertainty all right, its just that TBG's rumors about the 8820 have been close to 100% wrong so far.
