Default At&t 8120 - 10-11-2007, 02:17 PM

Was playing with an AT&T demo of the pearl 2 and wow it really makes me want a pearl 2 over the curve now. The os was 4.3.xx(didnt catch the last number) The keyboard is a major improvement of the pearl 1. They keys don't move much and are more stiff(but then again the phone wasn't broken in). I played around with the video recording(yes it has it) and the video doesn't look to bad on the phone but you do need a media card to record video. I put it on my media card I would post the video but it does show me and someone else so I guess I won't do it.Of course the video outputs as a .3gp file. The media is what I really wanted to see so I didnt get much around the phone cause its the media I wanted to play with. I love it, there is no play all feature. I love this cause you no longer have to switch the song manually yourself or hit play all, the next song plays automatically. Another great thing in media. You can browse other songs while a current song is playing(thank god!) So I can't wait to get this phone I am going to ditch a curve for this phone just have to wait till TMO gets it

Any guess on a release date? I'm trying to tough it out with my RAZR until the pearl 8120 comes out, but i don't want to be waiting for another 3 or 4 months

I could browse songs while one was playing on the pearl 1, other good points about the pearl two is WiFi and hot swapable mem card (no more battery removal) also now has full web browser and a 2MP camera.

Very nice handset to use.

What do you mean when you say a 'full web browser'? Do you mean that it is different from the browser on the pearl 1 or 8300? How so?

Full browser as in you can scroll left and right to view the page just as it would be on your PC, although there are still some issues with java script.

...that's an understatement (: the browser should be considered the same as it was before, in terms of graphics, parsing, etc. there have been no real visible enhancements in that arena.

Is there any dates as to when At&t will get the 8120? Verizon already has it (8130) out on display in their stores...played with it at two different stores. At&t needs to stay in sync with Verizon....
