Thanks for the help! i took it to a repair shop this morning and they fixed it for $70. They just needed to solder my USB jack.

Glad I got it fixed!

Thanks guys. I think im going on a mission today to find someone to repair it. I found a tutorial on the net today on soldering the USB jack myself but I dont want to take the chance. Perhaps...

I own a 8700g and its been fine until now.

My USB connection broke... or doesnt seem to work anyway, and I cannot recharge my device or back it up.

I installed the Desktop Manager to my PC...
