On my Curve, I could set separate alert tones for in or out of the holster, it appears on the 9630 it has to be the same alert for both cases. Is this correct?

Update on this, I replaced the battery, and the problem is gone. So even though the battery icon showed charge still remaining, it seems that the battery was flaking out and shutting the BB off.

What are you syncing to? I had the same problem when I was using DM4 and Outlook 2000. The later DM's don't support Outlook2000, I had to upgrade to Outlook2003.
