Will my blackberry backup work with a new phone?

So I sold my 9000 and I am going to purchase an ATT 9700 today. I backed up all of my contacts and everything with the BB desktop software. Can I restore this on the 9700 when I get it today...

Blackberry backup-phone numbers

I recently had to sell my bold, but backed up my contacts using the blackberry device manager. Is there any way I can access this and just see the phone numbers or something? Thanks.
