My 9360 from AT&T came loaded with:

7.0 Bundle 2055 (v7.0.0.464 Platform 8.0.0.464).

Isn't that newer than this one?

First thing to do is upgrade to OS 7.1 WIth 7.0 you don't even have the option for NFC.

Try pressing the "mute" key on the top edge. When you're on the phone, it's a mute key; when you're not on the phone, it locks the keyboard & turns off the display.

Just press and hold the "mute" button on the top edge for about 3 seconds. The screen will go blank, and the keyboard will be locked. Press it again to unlock.

Isn't this an older "newest version" than was previously posted? I tried to install this one, and was told by the Desktop Manager that my 8310 already had a newer version installed.

I'm not touching it at all. It will be sitting...

I'm not touching it at all. It will be sitting on my desk -- with the screen timed out and off -- and it will wake up and light up with every new email.

Is there any way to turn this off? All I really want is the flashing red light to notify me that there's a new message -- the whole screen lighting up is annoying.
