Update: All systems appear to be working for me now!!!!! Email is flowing to the 7290 within a few seconds/minutes from IMAP account. Thank you T-Mobile for turning this around.

I have the same issue nor have I found a solution. My work around is to turn off wireless reconciliation and just delete from the website manually.

Enable wireless delete at the webclient site and then try these steps in this order:

delete a message on the handheld
then Reconcile Now
then go to email options and select "purge deleted items"...
