Probably you've already tried: but how about setting a really simple password like one character, lower case? If that works it may be some obscure issue with your current password.

I didn't think there ever was a delivery confirmation for SMS - on any platform. I believe you receive a SENT confirmation only (a checkmark). Is this what you're missing?

I had some complete disconnects but mostly crackling and weak signal. And it was only with A2DP (stereo) headsets. There is a huge improvement with 167. No disconnects at all and no crackling.
