well i fixed the problem, i had a similar issue with the 7100 i had, folded a piece of paper, cut to the shape of the battery (close the the edges). Place it over the battery and slide the cover...

I've had my Pearl for a day now, and it was one of the first things that I noticed, when your typing a message, you can feel the back cover press up to the housing, very flimsy... Hopefully someone...
