One good thing now - Hotmail, outlook.com, live.com now are https.
If you set it up as POP can it sync contacts and calendars on a handheld?
What's missing in BB10 is usb sync for Outlook and...

I set this up last week with my Hotmail account on the PlayBook so I could sync my contacts and calendar - it will be the same on BB10 devices. It works well - just as described in the article.
