Mine are: 6.11.0216.1323. You are welcome to try them, but you might want to get them from the OS installation as I did for the 9650 device.

As you mentioned, it should have nothing to do with it, but the BIS Client is invoked the first time going into options. It is a strange issue. RIM is working on a KB article, but it still internal...

I had similiar issues here with 9650 devices. In my case, it was because the BISClient files were missing from the device after an OTA update.

Go to Options
Device
Application Management...

Did you recently do an OTA upgrade on the device?
