forgot to say that the phone charger light will always stay red even if it is left overnight, if this makes any difference

BB 8800 problems will not turn on

Having problems with my son's BB8800, he came down to me the next morning saying it wont turn on had a white screen with the egg timer kept on turning on and off, now the red led will flash twice...
