if a blackberry phone came from your carrier and its not showing the carrier's logo/name in start up does that mean that the blackberry you got is a refurbished?

I recently got my BB9300 from my carrier, and when ever i start the phone up the name/logo of my carrier then appears as it is a start up picture of the phone. how do i remove it? what do i need to...
