so now the little cumbersome workaround... i guess it's because sync of contacts from earlier back is causing an issue
if we would manually enter our contacts, it wouldn't be a problem...
but...

i have been using BlackBerry since 1.5 years now
i had 9700 to being with and then a Torch
and yes I agree earlier when i used to have birthdays in my contacts... it used to be automatically...
