Obviously, the battery will drain more quickly, but which connection method will the phone utilize? Will it automatically use one method over the other?

I have the same problem with a Palm TX. The two devices recognize each other, I get them paired, but then I can't do bluetooth dialing or internet from the Palm. I think it is a phone driver issue...
