Re: SIM swap question

As expected, restoring the service books didn't work since they look for a valid SIM card before allowing network traffic. Swapping the SIM from my wife's phone worked and didn't cause any grief...

Re: SIM swap question

No, I did check that as soon as I got home. I'm going to try to restore an old backup complete with service books to see if that's enough but I suspect it's not that easy. Failing that, I'll suck...

SIM swap question

Long story short I switched from my 9900 to a Galaxy S4. The port wasn't supposed to happen until the evening but instead was instantaneous (ie: my 9900 SIM was killed off before I had a chance to...

Re: Updated OS and sideloading

Actually I may be way behind in things; did RIM actually go through with disabling sideloading on the original 2.1 release or not? I'm not suggesting that this latest update disables it, I haven't...

Updated OS and sideloading

Quick question. I've got a few sideloaded apps (ie: Kindle reader) so I've not been bothered to update to the latest OS. I'm assuming that updating not only eliminates my ability to sideload in the...
