That was my first thought. But it was definitely not working, even after numerous battery pulls, and it worked immediatley and flawlessly after the OS upgrade, so the OS upgrade somehow got it going...

"A little googling" is what I often do on my 9800. There are many, many, websites out there that crash the browser. I'm on the most recent OS6 version and I've got no way of testing whether later OS...

No, it's WiFi only. I assumed it wouldn't have an IMEI because of that, but the dealer said there must be one. They're still searching their records for the serial number.
