how to not get sent messages?

Whenever i send messages through my gmail account or blackberry, I always get "sent mail" to my blackberry as well like a confirmation... how can i sent "it" up so that i won't get these mails...

I have noticed that when my phoneis in Edge network, then i do get that noise, but when I'm on 3G, it's crystal clear (like mgerbasio described).
